What are some good restaurants in the area? Looking to take my gf and parents to a nice dinner when we get into Dallas Thursday night. Preferably somewhere to eat a good steak that isn't one of the big chain steak houses. All recommendations are much appreciated

The Anatole is not really downtown, just so you're aware. There is not really anything in the immediate area of the hotel.

I'd recommend Nick & Sam's, Charlie Palmer, or Fearings.

Actually, Nana completely slipped my mind. I haven't been there but I've heard very good things.

Reservations. Most are on OpenTable, I believe.

Not a steak place but Meddlesome Moth is pretty close to the Anatole. Its an "Upscale Gastropub" and has good food and the best Beer selection in Dallas. Owned by the same guy that owns Flying Saucer. Might be good place to stop for a beer on the way back to the Ho-T.

Nick and Sam's is always a solid choice but it depends on how pricey you want to go. The Meddlesome Moth recommendation was pretty solid though.

ETA, I got lost in the Anatole one time with all the construction they had going on inside.

I stayed at the Anatole the past 2 years when the Rebs were in the CB. Great hotel, there was actually a club in it the first year which was fun for a late night party. As someone said before it isn't really downtown but you can throw a rock at Medieval Times. You pass it as you get on the highway. Perhaps you should go there?
