Hornets trade for Spurs PG Curtis Jerrells

Well he played for the Toros, so Demps has clearly seen a good bit of him.

Anyone know anything about this guy? Is he a true PG, or another combo guard?

Well I think this puts us out 18, and it looks like Shakur doesn't have much of a chance of making it since he hasn't played much this preseason at all. That still leaves us with 2 more cuts, and with Smith stepping up and the signing of Mbenga, Watkins is out as well. That leaves one spot between Jerrells, Strawberry, and Pops, but I don't know Pops is in danger at all. Most likely, if they like what they have of Jerrells, it will be Shakur, Strawberry, and Watkins.

I also wonder what 2nd round pick it is. IIRC, we have a few extra for like 5 years from now from a few trades.
Edit: We have an extra 2nd in 2016 from the Butler trade, and another 2nd in 2014 from the Bobby Brown trade.

probably the guy they hang on to until pargo is ready if they still plan on going down that route. good player, really quick and good attacking the basket with either hand.
