Are there any decent restaurants in the Auburn/Opelika area. Looking for a place to eat next Friday night. A steakhouse (not Outback)would be preferable. Thanks in advance.

Don't expect a lot. There is a great BBQ place called Byrons that's kinda birthday of campus I think. The strip has a few places but nothing fancy. Cock of the Walk in Opelika. I'd stay in Montgomery if you want a real meal.

There is a Longhorn's Steakhouse across from Tiger Town in Opelika. Coming from Montgomery, you take Exit 58, then turn left. I believe there is an O'Charley's and Olive Garden in the same area.

ESPN went to byrons BBQ a few years ago. It's the only place I'd recommend.

The Hotel @ Auburn has a (relatively) good restaurant.

On their last visit, I think they went to the Creole and Seafood Shack (on Shug Jordan Parkway).
