so you would, as the coach, kick the FG with a min 15 left or better yet you go for it on fourth with a FG very capable of kicking that distance on the sidelines...nice try negatiger

Miles let 30 seconds run off the clock before calling a timeout before the fake field goal.

That's terrible.

Not if you are kicking the F/G.

I have been told that was the plan and then LSU changed its mind and that lead to the T/O and the fake.

This is just me, but I was pretty happy with how much time we left Fla for their last drive.

I wouldn't have been upset if we had taken a shot at the field goal, and thought nothing of the tick down. When we made the fake we were absolutely ready to control the clock to the end, and the field goal was still an option if the catch was not made. What's not to like about that?

Dude's just pissy because he has been one of those calling Miles an idiot all week. Usually pessimistic jackasses have trouble admitting when they are wrong.

and it was all JL knowing what to do. Jefferson is the problem on this offense, not the coaches and it amazes me that people are too stupid to know that. Jefferson is probably a great kid and I hate it for him but he is not good enough at QB to lead this offense. I'm not bashing him, it's just a fact.

If they can't figure it out when he wastes two timeouts and has to check his play chart right before taking the snap, then I guess they never will.

This. Add to the fact that Jasper scores if the ball hits him in stride.

I will say this......Urban and UF looked MUCH worse w/ the preparation and execution than LSU did.

Yet......nobody outside of Gainesville is talking about that.

They looked horrible at times.......inept

Do people really think we managed the clock "perfectly" at the end of the game last night?

How much time remained on the clock after the LSU touchdown?

I thought the final drive for the Tigers was bout as good as it gets.

I also thought Miles showed again that he has stones the size of bowling ball. Kicking the F/G was the safe play and the fake if it don't work opens him to another full week of pissing and moaning.

Like the guy or not, but he has some serious backbone.

This is something that makes me think that Miles really does want what's best for HIS team... he was willing to shoulder what would have been an epic meltdown if that fake hadn't panned out.....

And no only that, the fake field goal if successful was going to do one of 2 things:

1) Work really well and we score a TD(or come close to scoring) - we want little time left then

2) We get a handful of yards, the 1st down and set up a chip shot for Jasper. (we want little time left). We got lucky of course and got the 1st down and then the another 30 yards. And it still worked.
