Will Patrick Peterson ever get time on offense?

Miles said last week that if the opportunity presented itself, Peterson may get a shot on offense. I didn't see any Peterson on O, and now I am wondering if he gets a shot... ever. Or if Miles tries to only keep the masses guessing.

I think running a healthy dose of wildcat would benefit Miles. Whether it is with Peterson or any of the dynamic athletes. Miles has said that spending time practicing the wildcat is inefficient because of the limited # of plays in the game, but why do many successful teams run variations of a wildcat?

Miles and crowton need to change something on offense, and Peterson(or someone with similar running ability) in the wildcat may be the coaching that the team needs and what the LSU fans want to see.

Saban runs the wildcat with 4 different players. Miles > Saban

My ONLY thing with this is, PP getting time on Offense (yes a great changeup and great potential). However, if he gets the ball, you have to take it out of the hands of say, Ridley, Shepard, Randle, or Tolliver?

I think we have PLENTY of OFFENSIVE weapons on the field, but just have to GET THE BALL IN THEIR HANDS!

I expect to see something from PP in the Florida and/or Alabama game. (Goal line situation only)

Saban acts stubborn, but shows an incredible ability to adapt and learn.

Miles acts open to ideas, but is incredibly stubborn and seems to drag his feet. I think this slow to adapt attitude is what makes his clock management atrocious and his offense progressively predictable.

yea but we dont have someone to distribute the ball (maybe Lee now). So I think some dynamic athlete taking direct snaps and running a read option type running play will only add a new offensive attack. The current offense is just VERY predictable, and eventually I think it will kill the career of most QBs.

So let me see if i got this right....first it was why doesn't Miles play freshmen, then RS needs more touches, then why isn't Ford playing more, then we need to get the ball to our playmakers, the we need to start or play Lee more, and now we need Peterson (a CB and kick returner with cramping issues) to get touches on offense.....does that about sum it up?

We need some unexpected offensive plays. We have the players to pull them off, but likely not the creative coaching to see to fruition.

I really don't understand why we haven't tried to use Shepard in the wildcat like the Miami Dolphins with Ronnie Brown against certain opponents. I think they'll keep PP as a CB/returner unfortunately with no time on o

yes, you basically sumed up my opinion of Les with what you posted! There are many good options and ideas that could improve the offense, but Les is VERY stubborn. It seems like you are opposed to all of the ideas in your post? It seems like Les is too. It seems like when the one about start Lee and get it to playmakers changed this week LSU doubled its previous Offensive production. Just think about some other obvious changes that need to be made.

It also doesn't have to be Peterson (like you said he has cramping issues), but something new and creative like a direct snap or wildcat with a more athletic runner. I kept hoping for some creativity on offense against UT, but it never happened. Maybe it will... I hope
