313/239.2/210

Not really expecting that weight to hold up, but we'll see. Woke up to my heater acting up again this morning, and my nervous jitters all game long last night probably helped me burn some extra calories, add in to the fact that I had to watch the game downstairs where it was 60 degrees and freezing while my wife was upstairs where it was "70 and extremely comfortable" so I didn't get to turn the heat on, probably helping me burn even more calories to stay warm than the nervousness.

263/251/183

Exactly 5 pounds heavier than where I was on October 1st 2012 according to this thread

Considering my health choices over the last year I'm surprised it's not much much worse.

re: PuttaDaForkDown

Holiday bingeing is now over and the diet started back yesterday. I was expecting to shoot back up to 300 given the Europe trip and coming home back in time for the holidays and all the festivities but to my surprise I pretty much maintained my weight, give or take a few pounds.

335/287.6/275 to start

Planning on hitting 275 by March 3rd. Just in time for follow up at the drs office on my BP. Like my weight, it's on a downward trend but it's not where it should be yet.

As expected, yesterday's weigh in was just really off base. I think the fact that my heat was out and it was ~60 degrees screwed with the scale. With that said, 241 is still my lowest weigh in if I pretend like yesterday didn't happen, so I'm still happy. 3 pounds away from 75 lost.

The first week is always so nice! I've just got to stay on the wagon this time!

I know alot of people are doing Atkins/Paleo, but is anybody else doing Weight Watchers? I find that it helps to keep a log of what I'm eating every day and compare it to the recommended daily allowance.

I use my fitness pal as well, it helps greatly with calorie tracking. I like to be at 1800 per day and 40 minutes of cardio. That way 10 pounds in 2 weeks is easy to lose.

re: PuttaDaForkDown

I use Nutrisystem for my food plan. I don't really track what I eat anymore as far as calories are concerned because I know I don't have to on this program. Once I'm done though, I'll start using my fitness pal again to track my calories just to make sure I'm not getting crazy.

Do you reward yourself with a cheat meal or a cheat day? Which is best for those really trying to lose weight.

re: PuttaDaForkDown

My version of cheating usually consists of taking shots of vodka instead of eating my dessert, or the wife may cook up some shredded chicken/beef in the crock-pot that I can use to make a quesadilla with at the house instead of eating one of my nutrisystem meals.

unless I absolutely can't avoid it, I don't cheat on my diet. As far as I'm concerned, my reward is the weight that I've lost and will continue to lose

Well what happens when you reach your desired weight, no cheating then?

Honestly, I'm dreading the whole "maintenance mode" thing that's going to have to happen once I finally do get down to my goal weight, but that's still a long, long way away. I do feel like I'm better prepared now for when that time comes and knowing how to eat and how much of certain things I can eat, but we'll cross that bridge when it gets here.

Fasting today to break the upward momentum of the allyoucaneat fat season plan. Highest in 2 yrs.

Getting back on the 5and2 starting Monday. my 3 most successful plans were ranked in the bottom 5 of the 32 diet plans according to the "experts", Fast Diet, Atkins(low carb) and paleo.
