I've been stuck at 274.4 or 274.2 all week and I'm not sure why. I've been eating clean and working out every day

I'm ok with weight gain as long as I can see my chest, arms, legs, etc getting more muscular and my pants start fitting looser. I watch the scale but I don't pay as much attention to it as I do the mirror.

Yeah.. people keep commenting how I am looking more and more 'fit'.. my muscles taking shape and stuff I guess. I know I'm doing the right thing so I'm going to keep doing it and it'll pay off.

I'm debating taking a real sabbatical from alcohol for a month. I've cut back to twice a week and only 3/4 during those days but without I would probably see more results.

I think me cutting out beer all together during the week made a HUGE difference in my progress. Do you realize how many calories are in a craft beer? A ton! And then on the weekends I really only drink one day. And it's usually 4 max. And that's if I drink. It was tough at first but it just became part of the routine.
And nice job to you and hulk for the gym dedication. Putting on muscle will throw off the number on the scale. So it's time to rely more on the mirror test. Keep it going!

Those 9% beers like DIPAs, imperial stouts, and Quads have 300+ calories in a 12oz serving. Then take into consideration that a lot of those are only available in bombers, essentially 2.5 12oz servings... in one bomber you can consume 800 calories.

Shoot I track, Canebrake has 150 calories per 12oz, Abita Amber 128.... Where I get in trouble is the Rogue Hazelnut Bomber which according to myfitnesspal and using 24oz is 350 calories.

I hope myfitnesspal is accurate with these though lol

Because of alcohol I've increased my cardio.... Doing exercise bike for 8-10 miles a day and running 4 miles at a 10:52 pace right now

The higher the ABV, the more calories.

Ah that is why the clown shoes I drank was so much higher in calories (11%) (I always assumed it depended on how it was made, ex: chocolate, wheat, expresso, etc)

IF day 2 for me. So far so good. Not eating until 1. Slightly hungry but not bad. I think I'm more prepared today as far as my meals go.
I'll have to weigh in later tonight

I haven't lost weight in a while but I've had an up and down diet. About to hit it really hard in the next 6 weeks. Hoping to lose 10 lbs and keep the strength in that time frame. Wish me luck

Good Luck!

I had a solid eating week. Time to add the bike back to the mix.

Well, I used to ride 10 to 20 miles on the levee before my current job. Not a fanatic or anything.

I'm talking about getting back on the stationary bike for a bit..... in theory.

Morning. IF day 3 and I still don't have a scale. But on the way to do leg day so I'll stop and pick one up after.
Still feeling good and looking if anything slightly leaner already?? Not sure but I'll keep this IF stuff up and see where it takes me.
It's the weekend, so stay strong everyone

Another slight uptick but nothing serious since I hit gym hard past week and I haven't over indulged in food recently.

Today technically is a cheat day since we're going to get beignets this morning and hitting the pub tonight
