My BMR is 1750 cals/day, I have to stay around 1200-1300 to lose. The only saving grace lately has been my workouts. My appetite out of freaking control. Maybe since I gave up drinking I'm sympathy eating

I'm in the same boat. Doing squats 3 times a week with dead lifts mixed in isn't helping the weight. I'm fricking hungry.

Once I'm in the groove its not bad. I eat a little something for breakfast then the rest of the cals at lunch. The one big meal of the day makes me full and I feel satisfied.

I know that feel. Once you're done with a lower boy workout, it's definitely time for food

182/178.2/150. Doing pretty good, cheated a little today and ate like 3 pieces of halloween candy that appeared in the kitchen, that's about it.

Question regarding atkins/low carb/induction. So I see that the general idea is to go really low for two weeks, then gradually up the carbs re-introducing various food types. Is there a scientific reason for this or is it just the assumption that people can't maintain that low of a carb count indefinitely (due to food type restrictions) and therefore more of a psychological thing? Or does it just have that steep of a decline curve that after two weeks it doesn't matter anymore if you're at 15-20 carbs vs 40-50 (in terms of weight loss)?

You can go longer than 2 weeks. You can stay in induction until you get to or near your goal.

How does this happen in March?

You're being set up.

I guess what I'm asking is, is it "worth it" to this? I understand that naturally as your weight comes off it becomes incrementally more difficult to drop the next pound, I'm just curious if the super-low carb induction phase will do the same or if it would accelerate weight loss relative to eating 40-50 carbs a day. This is mostly so I can drink a beer, one IPA puts me over the induction limit.

Roommate's gf has little nieces and nephews, I'm blaming it on them.

Is it possible I only gained thirty five pounds of water weight and it will all come back off in the next two weeks??

My goal is to get back to about 250 by July. I bought myself a really nice suit that was just a little tight when I was around 255 last August and now I can't wear it at all. Gives me something to work towards. At least I still have my fat(ter) suits.

I find it much easier to eat low carb low cal than adding carbs back in. The serious hunger kicks in the second I add too many carbs back into my diet.

I'm at six weeks. It's easy to eat this way. But frick me if I'm not completely stalled. The lifting has me feeling better though...that's what matters. Right?
