Boy? I'm 1/20th black, and that Nubian part of me takes offense. If you want to find me, I sit in the east upper. I'm the guy with the LSU hat.

I graduated a few years ago from LSU and decided to sit in the student section last night with a few friends. I was so disappointed in how classless the students were with the "suck the tiger dick" during neck (a song that actually gets the fans hyped up, even if it is overplayed). And then the "you suck" chant during OweO. That is so lame, especially when we played SC a few years ago.
Seriously, most of the guys standing around me were talking and had to be reminded that there was actually a game going on. One guy was reminiscing about "Devin Hester" when he played here a few years ago.
The Wave? When we are only up by 6? When it is time for the D to make a 3rd down stand? How about just making some noise to interfere with WV's playcalling.
The only highlight of the night for me was the heisman pose. Other than that I was disappointed in the student section for booing, not paying attention, the retarded and immature chants that make us look great on national tv, etc

OK, I think I'm just gonna have to take BT's tailgate spot over before the game. He won't mind cause he's a first-come-first-claim sort of guy.
That way, I can enjoy the tailgate before the game, and when I leave early with your woman we'll have time to beat the traffic and pick up my kids from the sitter.

I haven't read through all of the threads, so I don't know if it has been adressed, but the OP was wrong. The athletic administration asked the band not to play Oweo, there was nothing the directors or the band could do about it.

Can the students make one attempt please. Don't ruin "Neck." Look, the band has really sucked and I don't know if it's for fear of these songs being abused, but can we please not ruin this thing. I don't care about O-We-O because that is pretty much exclusively for the students, so if they want to mess that up that is their deal. But everyone in the stadium enjoys Neck, so let's not ruin that. I'm not some old man and I have my fair share of cuss words during a game, but it doesn't effect what the band plays.

It's bad when me and my two buddies note that the band is barely playing new songs because we aren't there to evaluate the band's performance. Neck just once. Didn't play the new songs that are on youtube that had people excited. Pretty boring IMO. Need to liven the band up a bit.

Thats Tiger Stadiums fault as in the PA annoucements..we have a guy sitting with us telling us when we can play..the band itself was getting pretty upset it seemed cause they couldnt play

the student section is a privilege for the band...the band is not a privilege for the students. we'll have a good time regardless. if they wont play for us they can go sit in the south endzone where people will bitch when they play too loudly
this is probably a shot not at the actual band but more at the program and its administrators. i for one will start taking the band's leadership seriously when they can play something other than the same led zeppelin-themed halftime show theyve been playing all year. and yes, west virginia's band humiliated ours during our own halftime show.

I think they actually started the wave as Jasper was about to kick a field goal.
Yeah, they're going to stop playing neck because that "suck that tiger dick" thing is going to catch on. I don't really care if it's classless, but it is fairly lame and they're going to stop playing it eventually.

I'll also say this. Knowing people in a lot of other musical educated circles, Tiger Band has never really been known as the best thing since sliced bread.
