I've been a Saints fan a long time, so many of you can appreciate this. I used to watch other great teams, Indy, Patriots, Cowboys(back when), 9ers(back when) and thought, man I wish our team was good enough to not play our best and still win. I'd watch those teams go out and look like a mediocre team and still find a way to win it in the end. I realized last night, even after the Super Bowl win, Our team has become what I always wanted. We win even when we don't play our best. Somehow I knew after the 9er's scored that Brees and the offense would somehow find a way to get it done. I LOVE this team.

I really thought Roby was off to the races on that last KO return.

The fact that Hartley's GW FG was partially blocked and still made it through the uprights is proof that this teams luck has turned for the better.

There is a huge silver lining in all of this. Our offense hasn't even begun to hit any sort of stride, but we are finding ways to win games. Like Brees said the his postgame interview, chanmpionship caliber teams have to win games like these in the league. I'm very optimistic going forward...the O will pick up, that's not an issue.

That is exactly what Steve Young said in postgame! Young said we are witnessing a complete role reversal between Saints 9ers and he is right. In the old days the Saints would always find a way to lose even if they outplayed the 9ers, and during our twice a year meeting the Saints always played the 9ers tough. Young was praising us as the team with the resolve, the confidence, and identity to win these types of games, games that the Saints historically would always lose.

It's bizzaro world.

+1000

This coupled with the Meachem miracle, dolphin game, all the challenges we are finally winning, bounces going our way, etc.

I could go on.

What about the Bush injury? Is that more evidence of luck turning our way?

I flunked physics, but even I know it's almost impossible for an oblong ball's trajectory to stay true after having its rotation altered at the line of scrimmage and a steady crosswind swirling from all sides.

Considering he is injury prone it's really not a surprise.

And I'm pro-Bush.

How many times have we watched the Saints lose games like the one last night? Finally we have a team where you KNOW we have a chance to win every game.Score tied with 1:19 left in the game and you get the feeling "we can do this". In the past the 9ers would have the ball with 1:19 and I would be like" here we go again". These are NOT my father's Saints.
