was reading the house of pain feature on ESPN..
house of pain
one was a Nebraska/FSU game...
'Jan. 1, 1994: Bobby Bowden was in his 18th season at Florida State; Tom Osborne was in his 21st at Nebraska. Neither had won a national title. In the 1994 Orange Bowl, the No. 1 Seminoles took an 18-16 lead on Scott Bentley's field goal with 21 seconds to play. The Cornhuskers started their final drive at their 43-yard line. With time winding down, Tommie Frazier completed a 29-yard pass to the FSU 28. Officials put one second back on the clock, but the Cornhuskers missed a 45-yard field goal on the final play. '
Tom Osborne and Bobby Bowden, without question 2 of the best college coaches ever hadn't a single championship between them in 20 years...
LSU has 2 championships in the last decade and we've got the biggest bunch of whiney crybabies I've ever seen....a large part of our fan base actually wants to fire a head coach that won a national championship just 3 years ago...if you don't see how completely stupid this is...well, there's just nothing I can do for you...
What a shame......if you kids can't enjoy what LSU has done in the last few years, you really need to go watch the NBA or something...
cheers!

The problem is, no we didn't enjoy the last few years. No normal person would have.
I am not on the fire Les bandwagon and am generally pretty positive about this season, but if he fcks this up, I will lead the parade to fire him.
I sat through the end of Archer, Curley, and Dinardo and I hope like hell LSU never goes back in that direction.

No normal person would enjoy a 'few' years that included 29 victories, 3 Bowl Games, 2 Bowl Blow Outs, an SEC West, SEC and National Championship?
I guess I'm not normal.
You know what's funny, if you look at Miles entire record he is great; if you look at any three or four year stretch again, not too shabby AND if you ONLY look at last year he's on the right track; it is JUST when you lump 08 and 09 together that you can spin it to make him look bad yet people act like it's been a 'few' years or it's a 'trend'.
Sorry, massive fail.
It was ONE bad (by LSU Standards) year, not two, not a few, not several and not a trend.
It was also two years AGO, let it geaux.
Geaux Tigers!!

The problem is that many of the most negative post come from people who aren't even fans. You can spot them because they have over 10,000 posts and jump on every good post with immediate negativity.

The problem is that everyone on this board is trying to label people on each side as either a positiger or negativer(lets fire coach miles today) and you can't even talk football or what is good or bad about Miles any more.

A guy at my work who just moved here from Indi looked at me like an Alien when I mentioned something about Miles maybe being fired at the end of the season. He said didn't yall win a national title 3 years ago?
Welcome to the SEC

Its a shame LSU fans can't enjoy the upcoming season without dozens of fans who can't enjoy the season,... because they worry too much about what other fans think, posting crap on a message board.
Stop it. Enjoy the upcoming season.

lot's o' words for sure...maybe rearrange them or something, but I'm pretty sure they are not a coherent thought in their current arrangement...

'Welcome to the SEC'
you're right...it's not just LSU....
I guess the funniest thing about it is that the coaches are getting the last laugh on the moronic fans and colleges....Fans demand SEC championship every year, the don't get it, so pay 2-5mm$$ to the next guy (coach can walk w/ no penalty,, but school can't fire him)...this is often the same coach that was just fired from another school and sitting on a 3mm$$ buyout...
Coaches win
ESPN wins
Players win
Fans are ALL miserable...
I'd say that in the SEC today, only Flordia and Alabama fans are happy with where they are...everyone else is complaing about their coach, QB, athletic director, or seat license fees...

Stop bashing fans, enjoy the season. You "superfans" need to make one single thread to blast us lesser fans. Dozen in a day is too much.

Answer the question honestly old fart. Have the last two years made you happy as an LSU fan? Did the team give the appearence that it was headed in the right direction?
If you answer yes to either of these two questions you are senile and belong in the nursing home now.
Again, I am behind Miles. My money has still flowed to the TAF. I never booed the team are trash talked players. This year is a shite or get off the pot year for Miles though. Either prove that you are turning things around and make a positive statement this season are the real folks that matter in the LSU fan base(this means people with money, not internet tards) are going to start grumbling.
In case you haven't realized, this years talent of in state recruits might be the best ever. It is more important than ever that something good come from this season.

Thanks....
By separating your single, large, incoherent rambling into a few smaller incoherent ramblings, your views will now be able to not be understood by your peers.
Have you ever seen the move Idiocracy?
come on, this is to easy......

My peers are LSU football fans, not old men who have nothing better to do that spread negativity on a message board.
I think that you are in way over your head with this new technology. Stop the negativity, enjoy the season. Participate in actual football threads if it interests you.
