We fished hard F-S-S and didn't do well at all. Went all over looking with not much to show.

We fished offshore and didn't do exceptional, and didn't hear many decent trout reports down there this past weekend...

Weather does not appear it is going to cooperate this weekend

Fished hard. Wish i could tell you where we went, but I'm an infrequant visitor. I know we fished the fan rig and the pink rig. We never caught more than 2 keepers from one spot. Worst Cocodrie trip of my life. Only one red, and he cut off on a rig pole. I think we kept all of 8 trout. Best bites were near the surf by some island that has a rock ring around what is left of it.

We ended up with 28 keepers on Saturday, nice trout. Caught most all of them in Pelto.
The wild thing was the school of 100's of reds in the surf on Last Isle. We could have gaffed them if we wanted. Got 3 on board, measured 34" and above.
Friday and Sunday were just gas burning days.

We ran all over the place Saturday and didn't do well at all. We started at an island in Pelto, caught one. Then we moved to fish the back side of Last Island, but couldn't get within 100 yds of the island b/c of oil boom. Ran to Wine Island but it was just too crowded so we fished a platform or two, nothing. The we ran to the backside of W. Timbalier, nothing. Fished a few wellheads in Barre, nothing. Stopped at one last island near Sea Breeze and caught 3. It was the worst Cocodrie trip I've had in years.

We had live shrimp, croakers and mullet along with soft rubber.
Most of what we caught was on mullet and shrimp. I threw a lot of soft plastic but probably only picked up 1 red and a few specks.

Good to know, but all I've seen down there nowadays are sharks.

It's getting that time of year when the trout bite slows down a little. I guess the fish are starting to transitionto fall patterns... It will start picking back up in mid October
