Ohio State guard Evan Turner will pass up his senior season and enter the NBA draft, according to multiple media reports.

Turner was expected to announce his decision at a news conference at 4 p.m. ET Wednesday.

Turner, who was named The Associated Press' player of the year, is expected to be among the top picks in this year's NBA draft. He led Ohio State (29-8) to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament, as well as the Big Ten's regular-season and conference tournament championships.

Turner averaged 20.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game in 2009-10.

Noooooooooooooooooo

The Villain will always be one of my favorite Buckeyes. Great person and player who gave everything he had to OSU, playing with heart and passion all the time.

5 years sounds right. Maybe a little longer than that. When did we retire JJ's?

I honestly don't know who we've retired outside of Lucas and Havlicek.

Jimmy Jackson and Gary Bradds are the only others.

Did you ever hear what Titus said in the podcast with Bill Simmons. I thought it was very interesting, and it explains the whole backstory behind "the Villain".

I saw a story where Thad said he said to Turner to grow up or get out his freshman year

He said that if they asked him where Turner would end up after his freshman year, that he would probably end up averaging 30 points per game at an NAIA school. Everyone had to remind him at practice that they were on the same team, especially Thad Matta.

Sounds like he had adjusted well at OSU, but I wonder how it will go in a new environment.
