Here are pics of Rummel warming up in the Dome. I see the freshman QB #17 is tossing the ball so I guess he will get the nod to start?

To me....Public should not have to compete against Private schools. It's not a level playing field.

Do me a favor....Go to the 5A game and watch this public vs. private matchup. Tell me how you feel about this statement after you see West Monroe.

I already know how I feel about it....it sucks. Private should have their own league...Fair is Fair!!

Last night I went to LHSAA state championships and had a great time. I wish Ms. had a place like the Superdome to host games. The weather was terrible outside, but we were comfortable. We even enjoyed shrimp poboys and gumbo while watching the game.
My impressions of these two teams in comparing them to schools the same size in Ms. is that La. had much bigger players. The weight programs of these 4 schools is very evident in the build of these kids. None of these four teams could match the speed of a Bassfield/Taylorsville, though. The special teams of the La. teams are way ahead of most 2A/3A/4A schools in Ms. I never saw a kick return, and not many punt returns. The kickers either kicked it in the endzone or they hung the punts up so the PR had to make a fair catch. All 4 teams were well coached, but any team playing for a SC will be. The SC teams of Ms. in the 2A/3A/4A have a lot more speed, but not the size of these teams. The La teams had better special teams, also. Our 2A/3A teams would have a hard time competing with either Curtis of Evangel, to say the least. SSC vs. Notre Dame would be a great game. Notre Dame can put a lot of pressure on a QB and they have players that punish the WR's and RB's. Notre Dame has a balanced offense that likes to eat up the clock. They are efficient, but not explosive. Lots of long drives. This game would be a tossup.
I wish I could go back today to West Monroe. I would love to see them play South Panola. This would be a war with many talented athletes on both sides of the ball.
