I don't want anyone on Miles' staff to have the "head coach in waiting" title.

Besides, that only works when the guy you have is actually good and is retiring soon.

wasn't Monken largely roasted on the Rant while he was at LSU?? I can remember threads like "Passing Game Coordinator? WTF, I see no coordination at all"

Man everyone has been roasted on the Rant ... Pelini doesn't blitz enough, Muschamp was a figure head, Miles is an idiot, Saban is slime, JR is dumb, Flynn is average, KW fumbles, Hester is white ... it goes on and on.

Monken is supposedly a very good WR coach. I heard he left in '06 b/c he wanted to be OC and was upset he didn't get it.

Mangurian's name was thrown around a bit for head coach when Saban was hired. LSU guy and former head coach at Cornell. Has been an offensive coordinator in the NFL, I believe.

Pete was the oline coach in the mid 80's.....

frickin' Miller is all grown up now. Biggest smartass I have ever met.

Big Axe is all class. Sure he has a screw loose, but he'll drive those boys like rented mules!
