USC, Florida, LSU, Texas (no particular order)

Like him or not, Cowherd gives LSU a lot of respect (and on a national scale).

He'll be interesting to listen to every day as we get closer to the Florida matchup.

Bama was in the next group #5 - #8 (no particular order).

I agree with 95% of what Cowherd says, but his bias towards USC is disgusting!

It isn't like we snuck in there.

The only one on that list that has better stats than us over the past decade is USC.

UF and LSU are basically in a deadheat with a slight edge to LSU.

frick Texas.

Agree 100%, but until USC gets embarrased and/or an SEC team beats them, he'll stay on this train.

Actually, he didn't list the four biggest powers. What he said is that these four teams always play big in the big games. He said sometimes they play better than they are. For this reason, he said he was stupid for picking UGA last week.

In the next 4, he listed Oklahoma, Alabama, Va. Tech, and Ohio State as being every bit as good as programs as the top four but they don't play big in the big games.

Considering those 4 teams have won the last 6 national titles, I'd say he is correct.

They lost to a 48 point dog at HOME with the "best Trojan team ever."

Reminds me of this article saying that those four programs are the "Dons" of the college football "mafia"

LINK

I agree on LSU, Florida, and USC... but the problem with Texas is that they get owned by Oklahoma. Oklahoma has won 6 out of the last 8 Big 12 Championships, and Oklamoma lost one of those to K-State (year we played them for the title). Texas only gone to the Big 12 Championship one time in the last 8 years.

Well, Texas should have gone to the Big 12 Championship game last year, but that's a different story.

Funny thing is Oklahoma's two losses were non-conference. They can win the Big 12.
