Has anyone tried it? I think it's called BJ's Smokehouse. I picked up a sliced brisket sandwich this afternoon. It was pretty good. Much better than Jay's.

Is that the one just past Baton Rouge High on the left heading into downtown? I thought they had closed.

Isn't that the guy that used to travel up and down Florida at lunch selling plates.

Guy had some good food ... IMO

i work right next to there and have had it a few times. im not a fan of mesquite wood, and their food has a REALLY strong mesquite taste, especially the brisket and pork. the chicken was ok and didnt nearly have the same strong taste because its cooked for a shorter amount of time.

I know what you mean....I put the mesquite on at the very end of my cooking...it can really ruin the flavor if you smoke with it the whole time.

Is it a trailer or an actual location?

Yeah, you can taste the mesquite. I like it though. The brisket was pretty lean today. I haven't tried any of the sides.
