This current team seems to be very focused. I remember most of Dale's teams being undisciplined, error-prone, choking at crunch time, and sometimes downright goofy. Yeah, he was a motivator and made it to the final four, but he was there for a freaking millineum. I've seen several games this year, and Johnson has it together. He doesn't act like an idiot when any little thing isn't going like he wants it to. He seems to know that no matter what, his coaching ability and his team's work ethic will prevail in the end. I know a lot of you guys are Dale Brown homers, but I'm glad as hell we have who we have now. The future is bright for us under Trent Johnson. LSU must have known what they were getting when they went after him.

Trent's done a GREAT job, proud of him. But Dale Brown = second winningest coach in SEC history. He raised LSU basketball from the dead, took them to the top, was a serious threat to Kentucky's dominance in the SEC. Dale did great things, hope Trent can do the same.

Why do you feel the need to take a cheap shot at Dale Brown.

Actually, like many you selectively choose to recall negative things about whatever coach you are bashing. It is a ridiculous parochial view which totally ignores the fact these things happen to every coach and every program.

Hopefully Trent Johnson will achieve all of the things you claim he will. How about letting him coach here five years or ten years before you annoint him. Yes, congatulate him on what he has achieved. It is a monumental accomplishment of which all LSU fans should be proud. He is now the fourth LSU coach to reach that pinnacle. Three others have taken teams to the Final Four and one of them won a national championship before the institiution of postseason basketball which we now call March Madness.

Once again I can't wait for the mid March spectacle and hope this may be the year that a nationa championship banner hangs from the rafters of the PMAC. What a fitting tribute that would be to all who have worn the Purple and Gold this past century and a salute to all who have occupied the coaching seats.
