Great job by the kid. He did do something special. But, I think Ford honestly accomplished much more. Evangel is always loaded. Ford on the other hand carried Leesville by himself.

When you toss 8 TD passes against the likes of Lake Providence, Lakeside and North Caddo ... yes, you can put up some sick numbers.

He is no better than Denny Duron who played there earlier this decade.

At Evangel it's all in the system. Every QB there puts up great numbers but very few produce big time in college and beyond.

Damn, Duron does have some amazing stats, but didn't Ford break Hilliard's state rushing record?

No, Ford fell just short of the state record for rushing yards. His 2,953 yards is the third highest total ever in Louisiana.

Ford: 340-2953, 29 TDs
* 9 200-yard rushing games
* Had 335 against Sam Houston
* Had 443 against Tioga
