UF soft against the run
It is time for our national statement game. I expect this to be the Tigers' best performance yet this season. It is time for our offense to take the field in a hostile environment, against a quality opponent in prime time, punch them in the mouth, play with a SWAGGER, and announce themselves as a serious threat to repeat as National Champions!
Yes I'm aware of the big plays we have given up on defense. But I'm opimistic that the return of Alexander, RJF, and especially Beckwith will help begin to minimize them.
My confidence about this game is rooted in the decided advantage that we have in the trenches. There is no doubt in my mind that our offensive line is capable of smashing these frickers in the mouth and imposing their will. And now with Lee playing as well as he is and Crowton calling the plays, we have the added bonus of their defense being forced to respect the pass, which we were very unsure of before the season.
Yes I am concerned about Tebow and company having some success on offense. But if our offense performs the way I fully expect it to it will not be enough for them.
Next Saturday in the Swamp, it is STATEMENT TIME BABY!!!!!!!

Agreed, and I think we'll surpass it.

If LSU running back Charles Scott watched Florida's defense Saturday afternoon, he likely started to salivate.

Shifty sums up Smith quite well. So even if the Gators can contain the stocky Scott next weekend, it's the little guys who could give UF fits.
so...richard murphy should be in for a big game?

The 5-foot-7, 173-pound Smith is small, compared to the 5-11, 233-pound Scott. According to the Gators, however, that's not such a bad thing

Let's hope he keeps thinking this way. Scott is as shifty a power back as they come.

If not Scott, then yes.
Frankly though, I don't think Haden knows yet what's coming his way next week in Scott.
