Mizzou breaks ESPN gameday record.

OU vs Mizzou gameday

Mizzou after beating #1 OU

Reminds me of when I was in New Orleans on Bourbon when LSU beat OU.

ESPN gameday hosts on Mizzou

Gameday crew talks about Columbia

I'm not even a Mizzou fan but damn if they go to the BIG and play Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan or Penn State in Columbia I'm making the trip.

There's a reason they had such huge gameday numbers...

What's wrong with that? Fans aren't falling out drunk

That's because drunk people are too busy tailgating to be bothered with gameday. That was kinda my point. Gameday doesn't translate to real life very well and when it came to UK in 2007 people figured that out pretty quick. The "crazier" a schools gameday crowd is, the less crazy that fan base actually is. See lsu vs Oregon a couple weeks ago.

It's true. There was actually a somewhat in depth discussion about it in the lsu vs Oregon game thread and I find it to be true.

So are you saying there's no clips of gameday's at LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, FSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State etc where fans aren't crazy and wild.

Poster assumes everyone acts one way and not the other at a football game. That one way being crazy. The other way being normal.

No I'm just sayingth those are probably not nearly the craziest fans those fan bases have to offer. Gameday just isn't that much fun. It's canned "fun" and I'd rather be watching it from the tailgate or from home with a beer. It's a lot of waiting around.

It was like that because OU was ranked #1, Mizzou usually have a hard time beating OU, both teams had good programs the last 3-4yrs which OU kept Mizzou from winning the Big 12 on like 2 occasions and cost them a shot at a BCS Championship game. I think the Mizzou fans was ready for that game. That's why gameday showed up in Columbia.

ETA: When West Virginia play LSU you better believe WVU fans will be loud, crazy, etc for Gameday.

I agree. When they came to Lexington for the Florida game. We were ranked I believe 8th at the time and were the favorite so it was crazy. It was fun for a minute but we quickly figured out our time was better spent watching it from the fraternity house and drinking until it was time to tailgate. It's just not all that fun irl in my opinion.

Having said that, what happens at 8 or 10 AM is not indicative of what happens after the game.

I can remember reading the papers after that game how the Police was searching through videos of the fans tearing down the goal post to arrest them because some fans got hurt, it was a big mess. It was a crazy night in Columbia and a mess afterwards involving the Police.

I can also remember the Mizzou fan getting knocked out by a Nebraska player awhile back after the upset, funny shite goes on in Columbia after Mizzou wins.

The NU player infamous punch.
