I know one is a PPV for games (Tier III if you will) and LHN is a cable network.

So, excluding the high school game fiasco, how is TigerVision really all that different from the LHN?

Great question, but don't expect an honest answer.

The LHN took our (Texas) tier 3 revenues from $338k to $15 million. LSU makes $7mill off their tier 3 rights.

Apparently, it was ok for the rest of the world to make millions off tier 3 rights, but when Texas decides to do it, we get labeled as "greedy and arrogant" and blamed for all that ails the world.

Assuming you are a Michigan fan, Ohio State signed a $100mill/10yr deal for their tier 3 rights while Michigan currently makes $0.

I assume that such injustice will cause Michigan to have an Aggy like overreaction and end the Big 10 as we know it. We would welcome Michigan to the Big 12 should you want to leave!

LHN is a channel, like ESPN, or Fox Sports South. They have programming all day, every day. Supposedly they will other sports in addition to football. So their women's volleyball games, swimming meets, baseball games, etc. will all be shown I guess. They probably have some daily sports news type of show with practice footage, highlights from games, interviews, and that type of thing, as well. It is constant exposure, whereas the PPV is one game, only when it is airing.

The LHN is a channel that you must subscribe to, however it is in minimal distribution so it is pissing off TU fans. The contract between TU and EXPN mandates minimum inventory of fb games, including at least 1 conference game. Also, it guarantees a specific dollar amount per year to TU, unlike ppv which is based on consumer interest. Any channel sponsored by ESPN that dedicates 24 hour programming to a specific university, is going too far.

What the hell is with LSU people using this term in relation to Texas? Do you really want to lump yourselves in with the aggies?

Well screw you USL!

Because UT is Tennessee to most everyone in the SEC. It avoids confusion. Same way we do USCe and USCw to avoid confusion

First, Michigan wouldn't deign to be in your league.
Second, Let's see how long ESPN continues to pay for 4 million homes, with so few subsribers.
Third, you are greedy and arrogant. I'd add dishonest, shifty, and oily, too.

You guys are pretty good at working behind the scenes and claiming credit for others work, and letting others take the blame for your faults. It's crummy, low-rent, and cheap. Just like UT.

OMG, a dagger to the heart. The Aggies have more class and soul than Texas will ever have. They're honest, decent people. You people would sell your mother if you could make another nickel, and then see that the blame fell to someone else.

You're disgusting.

No, but I would spend a nickel for a night with your mother. Any more cliches?

When speaking, yes. When writing on forums, no. At least that's been my experience.

ETA: on my own damn thread

Being from Texas, UT always was the Longhorns to me, but now living in Atlanta, I can assure you that most SEC fans think Volunteers when they hear UT.

Tigervision production value is 1/2 step above public access television.

Nice backpedal. You really must be a UT alum. Was backpedaling your major?

There is an implicit assumption in that quote that UT won't backstab the rest of the conference. They did, and as a result of UT being the conniving, manipulating arrogant pile of excrement that it is, A&M had no choice to to change it's mind. Oh, and you really shouldn't be that passive-aggressive and obtuse. Even UT fans should be able to distinguish what happened.

There's a big ole world out there, Cletus. It doesn't revolve around Austin, either.

Are you four years old? No one else took what I said the same as you. Seriously, you might be the dumbest poster on this site.

No, they didn't. Everyone knew the LHN was going to happen last year. Aggie lied. Which is fine, but don't go thinking they are somehow above the fray. Dumbass.

They are going to show a bunch of UTSA football games and are working on scheduling spring training MLB for stros & rangers and some pro basketball content as well.

LHN is really no different than UF's sun sports network except Sun Sports shows high school football games and no one cares.

Sun sports isn't a UF network. It's been around since the late 1980s. For most of it's life, it's been known as Sunshine. When Prime started renaming RSNs (remember HSE), they didn't get renamed. They still have their name because Fox saw the need for two RSNs in Florida: FSN Florida and Sun.

Sun shows the NBA, MLB, and the NHL. They also have some local high school and college (including Florida) programming.

A university starting a network and a regional network that shows some university athletics are very different. One other difference, Sun can be seen by a non-trivial number of people in the area that they serve.
