Is there anything Big 12 can do at all to appease TAMU to stay?

I mean no matter how unlikely what would it take for TAMU to decided to cancel it's engagement to the SEC and just stay back? What is the one sticking point?

Also is it possible that Tamu leaves to go back to the big 12 down the line if for some reason the Big 12 meet their demands in the future to entice them. That and also saying stuff like Texas should stick together?

The ony thing that would get A&M to even hesitate would be if all schools agreed to assign all TV rights to the conference in order to form a conference network (i.e., if the Horns pulled the plug on the LHN). That's not going to happen

I think you could offer 5 Mil/month plus Aggie network on Prime Time plus a 30min show right after Nightline and they would still say HELL NO!

Invite the Big 12 board over to a steak dinner and be sure to bring Bevo.

I"d rather take our lumps (which we will with an inexperienced QB next year) in the SEC and play LSU, Ark. Bama, Tenn, the Misses along with others from the E every year than spend one more day with untrustworthy jackasses. That should now be obvious to the SEC why we can't stand 'em.

Best view of tu is the rear view mirror-nothing could entice us to stay now.

Besides, I like crawfish.

Yep. And you are even willing to come over and get destroyed for less money than you are getting now.

Aggy logic.

I think the transition to the SEC might be tough at first for the Ags, maybe not, but I see them as starting out as no better or worse than middle of the pack. One thing that I think will improve for them in the short term which will help them is in recruiting talent that would like to play in the SEC, but be closer to home. This is will ultimately hurt the Longhorns, which is always a good thing in my estimation. I seriously think that this is a good move for A&M in the short and long term interests of their school.

I think this would have been enough a few months ago, but not now. There is too much bad blood and mistrust. We'll spend a season as an independent before we'll go back to the Bovine 9.

From twitter (Brent Zwerneman is the A&M beat writer for the San Antonio and Houston papers):
Brent Zwerneman
New A&M chancellor John Sharp following Midnight Yell Practice told me to expect an A&M to SEC announcement "shortly." No elaboration. #mysa

i would say they would stay if their board of regents fires the president, chancelor, AD and anyone else involved with this saga and then braces itself for a massive rebellion of students and alumni, possibly involving violence (this is texas afterall; everyone packs here) and prepares for donatins to the school to nosedive. i'm pretty sure this is a done deal.

We have sold out of Kyle Field season tickets for the first time ever because of this move. If we were to undo it, we would lose double the number of season ticket holders next season that we gained this one.

The ship has sailed. We are gone. No more dealing with Bevo and their bitches.
