I know he recently posted a bunch on this board, and I just saw this thread on shaggybevo.com. Thought some might care:

quote:

I've always enjoyed posting here and having conversations with many of you. It has made watching and caring about the Horns a lot more enjoyable, especially for a displaced Texan.

I won't be around posting any more. I am going to be transitioning to a specialized cancer hospice tomorrow. My priorities from this point forward will be spending time with my family.

I'm super lucky to have a big family that will be looking out after my 2 boys and if I am proud of anything it is that I have worked hard to provide for their future and education. I had hoped to hang around long enough to watch us thump aggie one more time, the odds aren't good but we'll see if it happens.

I'm not a religious guy so this isn't a prayer solicitation thread. I just wanted to say thanks for being quality entertainment and to treasure every day with the people really matter.

Keep giving shite to the aggies and the okies and think of me if we ever make it to the Big 10.

Him going to a hospice pretty much means that the cancer has either metastesized to other organs/tissues or that it is resistant to the chemotherapy. The main purpose of a hospice is to relieve him of pain and other distressing symptoms. My thoughts go out to you and your family.

I know you're not soliciting prayers, Dr. D, but I'm going to say a few anyway for you and your family. God be with you & your family.

Just goes to show you there are something things more important than football.

Not many.

But some.

Hope your days are well, Dr. D.

Yea, very rarely did I agree with him. Actually, I didn't agree with anything that he posted. However, there are things bigger and more important than football, such as life.

Hope you can spend good time with your family. I hope you and your family find peace and closing. I'm more agnostic than religious, but I will shoot out some prayers, especially for your kids.
