I come in peace. I actually really like LSU (maybe the prettiest campus I've ever seen), outside of last year's Cotton Bowl. Spent some time in Baton Rouge, liked everything except the traffic..

Instead of reading through all of these threads, I'd like to get the Tiger perspective about A&M joining the SEC here on one thread. What do you guys think?

If I had my way, A&M would stay in a Texas-based conference, but they would be on LSU's annual schedule. I miss the rivalry, and I don't mind their joining the SEC, but I prefer it to be a Labor-Day-Weekend OOC game.

I don't mind A&M per se, I think it's a good addition. My worry, is that by adding A&M, the SEC will feel compelled to add more teams. I really would not like the conference to grow beyond 14 teams because it gets too watered down and reminds me of the CUSA.

So I could go for adding A&M and FSU, and stop there. I really do not want to add Mizzou, Clemson, Miami, or others that have been mentioned.

All that said, I think the LSU and A&M rivalry could be very exciting on a in-conference level annual basis. What will be funny to see is if A&M can make the SECCG before Ole Miss.

Im pumped were going to renew an old rivalry. We now have another historical rival on our schedule every year. I also think yall are a good fit for the sec due to yall having a very passionate and cult like fan base. I think its a win-win scenario.

been wanting this to happen so hope it goes through....

A&M is great from a LSU perspective...some will moan about hurting recruting I look at it as a bonus...no offense (well not really ) but a kid has to be a little strange to have a want to go to A&M so I think it opens doors

and I pray that we play in that last game of the year

Welcome Aggies. Alabama got a couple of halfway decent coaches from your institution. If the Aggies still have the same traditions that created those guys, aTm will be a tough competitor for us in the future.

Buckle your chinstraps.

True. I bet most LSU fans (including me) can't name the 10 schools we've played the most in history.

My guess (before looking it up):
1. Mississippi State
2. Tulane
3. Ole Miss
4. Alabama
5. Florida
6. Arkansas
7. Kentucky
8. Rice
9. Texas A&M
10. Auburn

(Ok I just looked it up)
1. MSU 104
2. Ole Miss 99
3. Tulane 98
4. Alabama 74
5. Florida 57
6. Arkansas 56
7. Kentucky 55
7. Rice 55
9. A&M 50
10. Auburn 45

Like the addition. Set your expectations low for a few years because I expect A&M to be on MSU's level for a few seasons, until they recruit up to speed and become acquainted with the SEC game.
