Why would LSU be mediocre for the next decade? You think the talent is going to decline with O as coach? I'll bet it gets better along the lines and LBs and with a new OC qb talent will get better also. So even if O doesn't produce you fire him in 3 or 4 years and hire someone else and have a stacked roster.

NO THEY ARE NOT! And the word Miles apologists is so retarded and Negatigerly that it goes beyond description. WTF was anybody apologizing for? Did Miles killed somebody while coaching? You may not agree with his style but he has the highest winning percentage in school history and nothing the idiot Negatigers can do about it.

I have my reservations about O and prefer Jimbo first and foremost. I do understand the appeal of coach O. But I just don't think he is the best fit to be our number one choice.

And I supported (not apologized for) Miles until it was clear he could not adapt and it was time for him to geaux. That was no sooner than November 2015. Anytime before that was premature. He deserved one last shot and he blew it. End of story.

Nope. I wanted miles gone and would love to see 2 things happen...

1. CLM get another job and lose miserably
2. His replacement have more success than he did...and it would be even sweeter if it wasn't a big name coach. It would pretty much validate my opinion that CLM was garbage.

Wrong. I like for CLM to do very well in his next job and do it WITHOUT recruiting La. well. That is unless he picks up tier 2 guys LSU does not want but who fit in his system well. Wish him nothing but the best.

this pro-O phenomenon is as perplexing as it is frightening. Our fan base has a huge chunk of people who are completely out of touch with reality.

There's a pretty significant overlap. A lot of them are the same people.

this hire has the potential to send ripples across not only the SEC, but the entire CFB landscape. If LSU has a chance to get a winner, championship coach then it should do everything in its power to do just that. it shouldn't settle until those options are exhausted.

That's not even the issue. There is a chance, LSU would do well under Orgeron. Remember, Miles had success.

However, you have to do a complete search and hire the best candidate. Orgeron, if not for the interim role, wouldn't even be on the list. Let's be honest.

Orgeron's one shot was to run the table (or at worst, beat Bama and lose to another quality team). It was a long shot for sure. But, it was more of a chance than he was truly worthy of getting. And, to be honest, he has been dealt a pretty good hand with the teams we've faced. We honestly haven't faced a decent defense other than Bama. And, all of the other teams has significantly fallen down compared to how they were viewed when he got the job.

He wasn't able to beat Bama. And, worse, he put out a product that literally looked worse than it did under Miles.

I'd give the job to Aranda before I gave it to Orgeron.

Is this still really a thing? I thought his support dwindled to a few lost souls after the Bama loss. He can't have strong support still.

It's more like extremists overlap with Negatigers on both sides. I see people who were Posi-Tigers who supported Les or any HC of LSU who support O and others who want Jimbo. And vice versa for the worst Negatiger who wished death and disease on CLM as if he slept with their wives or something of the sort.

One constant is that Negatigers are always extreme, over emotional and humiliate the fan base. They will throw any HC under the bus if given the opportunity not just Miles. They wanted Jimbo gone when he was OC, doubted Saban when he was hired at first and wanted Skip ran out on a rail because he did not hire that A hole Petrino when given the chance. It is not so much the target of their derision but the attitude and negativity they so much love. It is like a self-hate prophecy based on low self esteem and stupidity. That is Negatigerism in a nut shell.

me too. but since the acceptable tenor of the day allows people to make shite up and be unchallenged then you get falsely labeled. you will forever be known as a miles apologist, a Hillary supporter, etc, etc. facts no longer matter.

This is what frustrates me. So many of you want a big splash hire so we get good media attention for a few days. The hot name in coaching fails pretty much almost every year.

Point is: Orgeron is not a sure thing. Jimbo is not a sure thing. Herman is not a sure thing. PJ Speck is not a sure thing.

We all want the same thing. We just have different opinions of who can get us there.

Orgeron had been on the job for four games before the Bama game. He also has a TE's coach leading the offense that could not be totally revamped in four games. I don't think anyone outside of some Rantards expected LSU to beat Alabama this year.
