I think so for one major reason. It would likely be easier to get him here faster. We can't afford to wait until after the playoffs for our new OC (and hopefully new O Line coach if Grimes is fired). Too much uncertainty in recruiting.

ETA- I would look very hard at Briles and Applewhite first.

Yes. Look what a difference Ensminger made with no prep time. Imagine what a good OC could do here. Sark, Kiffin, Applewhite, etc. it's not like CEO is going to hold them back by calling his own plays.

I'd rather they go in another direction. LSU has the athletes to run a dynamite spread offense.

Would rather someone else. Bama brought him in to replace Kiffen after the year. Lane is the one leaving but prob won't be as an OC unless he's way overpaid

There are also lots of rehabs, halfway houses, and AA meetings in the br area, so we're good
