With USC's hire, does UF rethink its loyalty to Muschamp?

UF is a great program which has no business going 4-8 and having an offense which is completely devoid of talent in the offensive skill positions. Muschamp was avg. in year one, may have had the worst 11-1 team in the history of CFB in year two(they seemingly caught every break last year), and took a team that everyone knew wouldn't come close to last year's success to an unthinkable 4-8 that included a home loss to an FCS school. Couple that with the fact that (while improved) his on-field demeanor has been ridiculous. At times he looked like he was about to have a stroke or punch a referee, player, coach on the first drive of the game! When he wasn't doing that, he was challenging the fans. Hell, you could argue that Zook was a better coach, and he only lasted 3 years.
Despite all of that, I figured UF would hold on to Muschamp for one more year because they didn't want to be involved in a search and bidding war that included Texas and USC (arguably the only two jobs better than UF). Hold out for one more year, and UF would almost assuredly be the top available job in the country. However, now that USC appears to have made a questionable hire at best, does UF get in the mix?

No, they don't want to compete in the coaching circus with Texas and Alabama.

This is meaningless at the end of the day. Besides, this year he was very calm especially considering the circumstances.
The answer to your question is no. Foley is not going to fire him. He has one more year. Whether or not that's a great idea is debatable of course.
The lack of playmakers on offense and terrible recruiting there has to be corrected in one year. The OL needs reshaped and there will be a new coach.
I just don't think it's possible to do all that in one year. Considering that, I thought he should have been fired. The only thing that makes me want to keep him is looking at all the injuries.
It's a tough deal.

Why is there so much hate for Muschamp this year? Last year he had his team in the Sugar Bowl.
How many season ending injuries have they been through this year? DeBose to start the offeseason. A few of their lineman. A couple big name Defensive players. A running back. And aren't they on their 3rd string QB right now? I mean really, who could have done much better than 4-8 playing in the SEC with that many key injuries?
Edit: I will add in, losing to Georgia Southern was inexcusable.

Well, many thought that was a championship caliber defense...with a horrendous offense...again.
Plus they were blown out by Louisville.
Now, they've had a disaster of a year, with the aformentioned loss to Georgia Southern and the blowout against FSU. Does it make sense to re-invest in Muschamp and what will be his 3rd offensive coordinator. Are they just delaying the inevitable?

That was kind of smoke and mirrors though. Kudos to them for pulling it off but that team was very very limited. They were very close to losing to ULL.
