Chizik proved that he was the same loser at auburn that he was at ISU without Cam.

LSU fans melt better. Auburn fans were still a pile of goo from ATPB.

It's not the firing him to most people. It's the way it's being handled by the administration.

Second winningest coach in LSU history.

In 11 years he has spent 7 of them with ten or more wins. I think he has three seasons with 4 our more losses but one of those season he only reached four losses for his bowl loss. So the fan base that says we are 8-4 year in and year out are pretty delusional. The numbers are all in Miles favor. His numbers prove how dumb most of our fans are being. Negatigers getting their way and numbers shown over his career he is is doing just fine.

It is not in humane to fire Lester. I admire LSU for not being Georgia.

Chizik had a NC season sandwiched between two mediocre seasons, and proceeded to field the worst Auburn team ever in year 4.

If Cam never comes along, he'd probably have been fired after year 3, or at least would've gone down as the worst HC in Auburn history.

His tenure is in no way comparable to that of Miles.

Miles never had to rely on one once-in-a-lifetime player to get to win.

As an Auburn fan Chizik had to go he completely lost that team in 2012 unlike this year except for our game with y'all and maybe today we have been in these games and the players have not surrendered. I think Miles has been a great representative for LSU and the SEC. Also Chizik and his complete lack of discipline with all the off field issues was the last nail in his coffin.

He's about to go 8-3 and be gone in a heartbeat. What's shocking is how ridiculous LSU fans sound. And anyone that thinks this is a mistake loves Les more than LSU.

We're about to fire the best coach in LSU history for going 10-3, 8-5 and possibly 8 or 9 wins which might have been 10 but for the McNeese thing. Those were better than DiNardo's three best years. Better than everyone before him but Cholly Mac who had a great run from the early 60s when Dietzel left until 73. It still took 6 mediocre seasons after that before we showed him the door (and I mean REALLY mediocre like 7-5 or 6-6 every year). And remember how much better we got after right? The 80s and 90s were the worst era in LSU history.

Relying on McNeese for the W to pad a poor year with a meaningless cupcake? Come on. I really don't care one way or the other, but 2014 had 3 really bad losses, ie AU 41-7, Arkie 17-0, and MSU rolling over LSU in DV and was much worse than the final score indicated. The only somewhat saving grace is the losses were spread throughout the season and made them less memorable to most fans. 2015 Bama whipping, followed by Arkie and OM whippings. This team has shown much less competitive fire than last year. I was somewhat surprised, I believe it was after game 5 this season, that LF after the game said the team might be a lot better than he thought starting 2015. Well, the wheels fell off soon thereafter. Steele has not helped Miles' case, nor the disjointed offensive performance/penalties ad nauseum/and largely unproductive passing game. Chavis read much more into the contract situation than other staff members and had the wherewithal to move on to somewhere where he could be guaranteed payment. Jimbo and Chavis were arguably the best coordinators Miles has had, some may say Pelini but I would take Chavis, and hiring a new OC for what may have been 1 season in 2016 is a non-starter. I am still in disbelief Peveto was allowed to be re-hired, was Alleva laughing to himself when Miles requested the hire? Is Miles really fired??

Compare the records.

Nah. He won a national championship 14-0, went 8-5 the next year, then fell off a year later. But you fire a guy that just won a championship 2 years ago and catch no heat???

In 2007 Miles won a national championship 12-2, went 8-5 the next year, then 9-4 the next year. Then went 11-2 the next year.

Why not give Chizik some time? He took a 5-7 team and made them go 8-5 then they went 14-0 the next year. Why not let him build the team back up?

Miles has declined in regular season, conference and Western divisional record every year since 2011. When Houle we let him go, when we finally have our 1st losing season since the 90s?

Whoever the coach is we get next year I know he will have a great offensive mind so even with an 8 win season, if progress has been shown in discipline, game planning, play calling, time management, fundamentals, etc, I'll be happy.

So if we don't get Jimbo or Mullen, I'll be bummed initially, but if we look good next year, I wouldn't give a damn.

No it's because of retarded arse hires even then of Dooley and Kiffin. Hopefully Alleva isn't that got damn stupid.

I would venture to say that Les has lost the team this year. However, I'm confident that BOS/TAF aren't as completely unprepared as we have looked in recent weeks.
