If we're gonna make the move, why not shoot for the best underpayed fella out there?

1. He's on a CFP bound team.
2. He's very secure at Clemson
3. He is an Alabama grad that most likely wants to return there

Isn't Alabama his dream job? He'll jump ship as soon as Saban retires.

Why not? He makes $2.75 million a year. FSU better be ready to open the checkbook.

If he DID come to LSU, he would bolt for Bama as soon as Saban left/retired.

The man is making 3 million a year. We're paying Les 4.3 plus performance bonuses. So your telling me if we can match that offer to Dabo, he wouldn't even consider it?

Why would you want him? If he's successful, he bolts to Alabama as soon as Saban retires and we have another former successful coach there. We lose. If he's not successful, we lose. That's a no win situation my friend.

In a profile done by CBSSport’s Jon Solomon, Dabo said he would certainly consider going back to his alma mater if the opportunity presented itself. Even with the Clemson coach focusing on his own team’s problems of being No. 1 in the nation, he’s thought about going back.

Most Bama fans still don't really think Dabo is that great of a coach. His name is rarely brought up as Saban's successor.

Clemson would match it. The program has waited 30+ years for this opportunity to come back around. We like our football too and will probably do anything to keep this momentum.

I'd make him say no at least three times before I called anyone else. Anyone. But he'd say no and I'd have to move on
