Why isn't Mike Leach considered for more jobs?

He's brought Washington State back to relativity for Gods sake.

There's a reason he's at one of the worst P5 programs ever.

Yes, but schools pay you to win and that is what he does.

There's no way leach could handle a southeastern school, there's just too many fat little girlfriends.

Not many teams interested in throwing the ball 65 times a game...

Initially, I thought you meant "relevance". The more I thought about it though, relativity makes sense. Mike Leach, I'm guessing, is probably down with Einstein like he is with pirates.

He is all about scoring. He gives zero fricks about defense. He could have won a game or two more if he would just burn clock on offense at the end of a game. Nope we gone air it out

Trust me, I'd rather he go to a bigger program so Oregon doesn't get upset once every 4 years.

Also, his defense is playing better than I can remember a WAZZU defense (maybe since the early 2000's even late 90's).

After they lost to Portland State I figured he was getting canned this year. Nice recovery on his part.

There are a few reasons:
1) He's crazy as a shithouse rat.
2) He's rumored to be a serious drunk.
3) He's something of an outcast in coaching circles. He never played college athletics (neither did Charlie Weiss, but he won a Super Bowl. Dennis Franchonie didn't play football but did play D1-AA baseball for the Gorillas of Pittsburgh in Kansas, but he has a large rack so he got a pass). Instead, Leach has a law degree (so does Derek Dooley and that didn't work either) and fancies himself a pirate. As a result, Leach is not "one of the boys." (Neither are Charlie, Dennis and Derek. Go figure.)

Winning can mask a whole lot of stuff, but he's not exactly someone you want to push out front as the face of your university.

Oh, and Leach locked Craig James' kid in a shed once and that got him fired from the best job he ever had.

Yeah. If you were an AD, and had any other viable option, you might want to take a pass on Leach.

u dumb. the guy right above you posted a lot of reasons. Plus he sued his former school for firing him. If you are a big time program do you really want to take the risk.

He went to a school to interview several years ago and reports came out that he was so full of himself that it was a quick interview. I think you would have to be desperate to hire him. This would explain why he has never been the HC of a major program.

Kills me that ppl want a branch from the Leach tree to be their OC at major programs but noone wants the friggin tree that they fell off of.
Made KY's offense a Juggernaut as OC
Made TT relevant, beat #1 Texas.
Is now making Wazzou a force in the Pac
His defense is doing pretty well also.
And he does run the ball when the numbers are in his favor.

Ill say this, if we didnt have Mac at UF id love for Leach to come on down. Exciting football... and it drives Saban bat shite crazy which is also a plus.

OU's OC is a former Leach QB, as is TCU's OC.... Their offenses seem to do pretty well
