My common sense tells me that if it isn't Kiffin, it likely will be Applewhite or Canada.

I have real concerns that O won't want to, or be able to, hire an OC he doesn't have a previous relationship with. I worry he'd feel threatened by a stranger getting the credit. O acted very paranoid as things went south at Ole Miss. Unless there is some connection to Canada I don't know about, I think he's a pipe dream. If not Kiffen, it'll be Sark or some other offensive coach from O's past - including possibly Ensminger.

Unfortunately, I do think that SE is a possibility and would not be all that surprised if it happened. Even if it does happen, I would still think that you're in here trying to throw shite on the wall and see what sticks. No offense.

you will soon see I don't throw shite to see if it sticks. When I throw shite it does stick.

If you think about it, it would be an absolute power move to snag Bama's backup plan for OC and watch Kiffin take the UH job leaving Saban for his own OC search.

After they win another NC in a few weeks, if I'm a top OC, I'm running my resume down to Tuscaloosa. Easiest job in CFB (if you can handle Saban yelling at you for only winning by 30) and it will probably lead to a HC position.

Ensminger deserves his shot. He will only get better from here on out.

Ensminger performed well this year, all things considered. But recruits aren't going to get jacked about an Ensminger-led LSU offense.

So for that reason, I'm out.

The perception of the situation in coaching circles may, in fact, not be positive at this point. If Orgeron is thought to be damaged, handicapped or otherwise limited in some way, then he may struggle to close on this oc hire. His inability to attract a top quality oc would be extraordinarily concerning, hamper recruiting and cast a pall of doubt over the program. He absolutely must knock this one out of the park.

I agree, I rather hire Sarkisian over Lane. Lane would not be at LSU very long anyway. Hiring Sarkisian would secure the OC position long term.

Because we have seen how this "process" has unfolded so far. LSU will go cheap, and with someone who will not be qualified for the position. So that means that Sark, Kiffin, and even Canada will not be given an interview. My guess is that if LSU decides to interview, it will be a high school coaches.

F King and Alleva need to be fired!!!!!

Why is that? He is at his dream job now... if he hires a great OC he gets credit for making the hire. O is successful if the OC is successful.

Interesting. Could O be getting his hiring ideas from Tigerdroppings?

My guess is Sark stays at bama-- looking to take over when Saban retires.

Yeah, he certainly can't win championships with different OCs!

Wait...
