I could be wrong, but I think many of the biggest Orgeron- backers (of which I was not one) would question the retention of Ensminger as permanent OC. It's a high-profile hire with plenty of attention among the fanbase ... Are you suggesting Orgeron will simply keep Ensminger as OC, w/o making a formal announcement, and hope nobody notices? So, when will the announcement be?

How many posters have claimed to have an in -the-know source that proved to be dead wrong? Based on everything I know about the situation, and applying my common sense, I don't see how Orgeron retains any credibility if he keeps Ensminger as OC. He made some strong statements about hiring the best staff in the country, running the spread offense. My sense is that there are a good number of fans who weren't thrilled with the Orgeron hire ( like me) but are willing to give him a chance. If he hires Ensminger as OC, he will have reneged on a "campaign promise" so to speak, and likely would lose the support of many fans.

I don't think it would be a good idea either. People aren't that interested in the high scoring games we had against shitty teams.

Look I don't like it either. I also didn't like the O hire. I'm just putting on here what I'm being told and this person knows. Was spot on about the O hire and previous things before I was a part of this board.

I think he wants to succeed... and I think he knows he has the recruiting base to do so, and a roster full of talented players... and a top-notch DC in Aranda. I'm assuming he's smart enough not to tie his fortunes to Ensminger... particularly since he has publically stated he wants to run an offense that Ensminger (to my knowledge) has no experience with.
