Tell him he can challenge Saban annually in the best conference in the land.

Why the hell would he want to do that?

Because Dabo has been building a great program at Clemson, and he is being well compensated to the point that he will probably get a huge raise and extension after the conclusion of this year.
He will be the main target for Alabama to get for HC when Saban decides to retire, but I doubt he wants to folow behind him for that job.

You mean the former WR coach that was hired after being an interim and never even a coordinator?

Yes. That is a better resume than O. Notice how you didn't say "the former position coach hired after being interim who WAS 10-25 AS A HEAD COACH"

He has a really good thing going at Clemson. He would be stupid to leave. Plus Clemson would just match what he was offered.

If Dabo wins the Natty this year I don't see him ever leaving Clemson and why would he ?
Saban will coach another 4-5 years and Dabo will continue to have success. Clemson could very well make him the highest paid coach in college football. Dabo seems like a decent guy.
As much as I hate Alabama I feel sorry for whoever follows Saban. No way a successor can duplicate Saban's success.

Why would you want to have to play him in the regular season every year just to win your division when you can win an easy conference and play him once at the end of the year?

Clemson is a top 2 program right now. LSU isn't a top 5 and maybe not a top 10.

Not top 10?! The NFL talent amassed the last DECADE says otherwise. We NOW have the coaches in place to maximize this NFL talent WHILE they are still playing for LSU.

Because Orgeron was the only person that wanted the LSU job so it was an incredible business decision by Alleva to hire him. Simply amazing.

Because currently Clemson is a better program than LSU.

Alleva is terrible.
I heard Dabo was interested.
He's tired of apathetic Clemson fans and not having good talent.
All we had to do was make him a reasonable offer.

Because O and Dabo are basically the same kind of coach. Both are position coaches who have never been coordinators, and they completely rely on their OC/DC on game day.

Because he wasn't already on staff and the AD would have had to have actually worked to find a coach.
