Are people that stupid to look at passing yards per game alone and say this would be a shitty OC to get?

Every pundit out there is talking about what a phenomenal hire it would be to get this guy. But people are melting because they think we'll go right back to the I formation based off how many times Pitt threw the ball last season..

He runs the power spread. An offense that would compliment the defense much more than an air raid would. It has worked phenomenally well at Pitt and the same concepts have worked wonders at Ohio state and Houston

Save** yourself the stress and quit melting if this is our guy

Pitt OC Matt Canada to meet with LSU, source confirms | NOLA.com

46 mins ago - "I do believe that nowadays you have to run the spread offense. You have to have dual-threat quarterbacks that can run the ball and throw it.

well?

It's an unreal creative & balanced attack:

-Pitt had 2700 yds rushing and 2,600 yds passing.
-42 points per game.
-82% red zone efficiency
-11 Tds in one game.
-Play designs are so creative and diverse/multiple, it's hard to sack the QB. They only gave up 9 sacks all year.

I'm aboard the Canada train. Let's not let this guy go back home without an offer.

If O wants to run an Spread Offense that features a Dual Threat QB, this is not the system. His system is set up to fill that void of a running QB

I think Canada would be a solid hire. I'm just not going to crown the guy because he's had one successful year as an OC.

Dude got fired from NC State a couple of years ago. That should be more than enough to temper expectations if he were brought in.

Cannot be considered "one of the best OCs" in the country, period.

He's the "Larry Fedora" of OC candidates right now.

Because his offenses have been average for most of his career.

I'm fine with average. Elite defense with an average offense is how Bama wins

If he runs the power spread then he is the prefect match for LSU. that's the kind of offense we need.

I think Canada would do fine but if you want "the best OC out there" and you want "a qb who can both run and throw" then you turn your offense over to the guy who designed and implemented the offense that broke Chip Kelly records. Period.

Mark Helfrich is just a better hire and I want the best
