I admit, I didn't like the hire at first. It reared of stupidity on Allevas part of not at least interviewing more coaches. Listening to Orgeron press conference changed it for me a little. He said some of the things I am hoping for but we will have to wait and see how this plays out. Alleva is on the hook for this hire. Who fires him if it gets bad? What is the worst Orgeron can get away with before heads start to roll?

Be a man and admit that he had you choked up too and that's what made you get behind the hire. I will admit it definitely changed my outlook.

Same thing I want to know. Hope it doesn't, pulling for Coach Oeaux, but this could go really bad in a hurry...

If he isn't gone by the end of next year he might have a chance at yet another terrible hire. The man is not and ad on the level of an athletic program like LSU. Won't someone of authority do something?

He's our coach now much to my shock still, but as an LSU fan I'm behind him till the end. Whether that's retirement because he did better than we all expected, or termination because he didn't succeed. If it's the latter Joe Alleva needs to go before him as he made the hire. He has my support, and after the press conference I'm not sold, but at least I know he's going to do everything he can to succeed. If he can't then that's on Joe.

most that do not like the hire - were upset that we did not open the bank for both jimbo & the unproven dude that went to texas
the rest of the suspects wanted - big money - & those were not worthy of it
good business decision - with the state in debt & the economy down
the board of supervisors, big money people, faculty, students & good business people understand!!!!!

Back in the day when I was attending LSU, we had a Chancellor . At that time Chancellor James Wharton fired Paul Dietzel, can't remember if there was a president of LSU at that time that Wharton had to answer to although he had to answer to the Board of Supervisors. I only hear President F. King Alexander now with no mention of a Chancellor so I really dont know if its left up to F. King or not. Later on I remember that President John Lombardi fired the chancellor at that time Sean O'Keefe. Who is the Chancellor of the University now, I would assume that he or she is the person that can fire Alleva with the President F.King and or Board of Supervisors approval.

You're a fricking idiot. LSU football has nothing to do with the state debt or the economy. Ever heard of TAF? You have to spend money to make money.
