With Miles on the hot seat, did Dave have the promise of moving up the ranks to get him here?
I know he got a serious salary bump but I started wondering.

What do you think?

Why do people think we offered him some secret deal beyond 4x his what he was making in Wisconsin and a chance to coach a bunch of 5 stars?

I just loved what I saw on his side of the ball Sat. Can't lose him. I sure wouldn't want to play against him.

Your AD said the new guy would have HC experience. Does he have it. I am not sure but my guess is no. If he was going to be considered he would have been the interim HC

If Arkansas scores a couple of touchdowns, you won't hear these things about Aranda anymore. Kneejerk as f**k. Folks were saying that he sucked until about 3 weeks ago.

Eta: I'd hate to lose Aranda. He's a rising star. He's not proven. Then again, if they were ever seriously considering O, then they may as well consider Aranda as well.

I think you are right. But I disagree with Alleva RE: a hard and fast rule. I would happily take Aranda over a lot of guys with moderate success as head coach - although not over a guy like Fisher.

Honestly I would take Aranda over CEO without any HC experience right now.

yeah i hate that mentality. Sure HC experience is a plus but if there is a special guy out there (like an Aranda) you should give give them fair consideration for the job.

Yea sure. That's exactly what Alleva did, then once he fired Miles he promoted O over Aranda... Are you serious man?
