And what would be considered bad?

2017 8-4
2018 8-4

This is a continuity hire so 10-2 should be the expectations

10-2 because we are built to win now.

I'd actually be upset with 10-2 but I'll digress for growing pains.

ill go along with this. Those are acceptable records and would effectively quell the doubters save the minority that will never be satisfied even if O wins a title, pretty similar to Miles.

Anything under 10 wins with the talent we have coming back should be a concern.

He said his plan is to win right now and I plan to hold him accountable for it

Any more than two losses per year and not winning an SECCG within three years will be a failure.

i agree that is should be.

What record in 2017 would be bad enough for him to get run after only one year?

yup. With the SEC in the state it's in right now we have enough coming back to win a helluva lot of games next year.

OL is a concern but we should be set everywhere else on offense with etling one year older and practicing as the starter all off season he is poised for a great year (feels like I make that prediction a lot - at some point it has to be true right?)

Except Coach Orgeron has gone on record as saying he wants to run a spread style offense with a dual threat quarterback.

I wouldn't. LSU fired a coach that had routinely been in contention for he SEC and had LSU in championship contention. He lost that edge and was rightly fired (the timing is questionable). The only acceptable success level from the new coach is constant SEC and NCAA contention.

A minimum of 10 wins the first year. SECCG and playoffs by the year 2-3.

Otherwise, why the frick hire the man.

10 or more wins, anything else is a disappointment and should get O out the door.

With what he did this year with SE at OC, I'd expect better results next year with whatever big name OC he wants to bring in.

If we go backwards, I would question O's handling of the offseason in terms of player preparation, etc.

He hasn't been a head coach during an offseason since Ole Miss.

LSU is apparently switching to the spread (out of nowhere) which means there might be an adjustment period next year.

The '17 schedule is a nightmare. There might be 3-4 losses due to decent competition.

2018 should be 10+ wins, and LSU should hover around 10 wins at a minimum.

They are switching to the spread but hiring Kiffin as OC?

Something is not making sense here
