What does CEO have to do for you to be okay with him over Herman?

If this has been discussed, it can be deleted, but I am just wondering if LSU can get Herman, what does CEO have to do for the fan base to be willing to pass up on a young head coach that a lot of our fan base has been clamoring over?

If he wins out and is offered the job, how short of a rope does he have before fans turn on him saying we should have gone with Herman?

It's easy to say on TD what you or I would or would not do hypothetically, but I do not envy the people who may have to make a really tough decision about what is the best course for the program.

IMO, if Herman is willing to take the job, it has to be his.

He's done more than Orgeron to this point as a head coach and as a coordinator.

1. Win out; and
2. Maintain recruiting class.

Beating Ole Miss, Arky, UF and a close game to Bama even with a loss would earn my support.

Nothing.

He 100% does not have the resume to hire him to be permanent head coach of LSU.

Period.

There is nothing CEO can to make me prefer him over Herman. Or even Jimbo for that matter.

Get a HC job at another school to prove he's not the same moron that coached at OM.

Win the playoffs. That's about his only shot.

Since that's not going to happen, I'll say that he deserves serious consideration if he wins the NC. That's a feather in his cap that very few coaches have, although there's still the caveat that he did it with someone else's team.

My objections to Coach O are based on realistic outcomes, not pie-in-the-sky, virtually impossible outcomes.

So if he won out on what is the toughest remaining 5 games in college football according to the ESPN power index he still doesn't deserve to be considered? Do those not count on his resume? Throw in an SECCG win and bowl or playoff win?

That would be a 15-2 record in his last 17 games as a HC of 2 power conference teams.

Oh yeah, I forgot. It's not what he does here that counts. He has to go somewhere else and prove that he can do here what he may have already done here (win games).
