Shoes Houston is a pretty mentally weak team.

Even though almost every team in the conference runs some variation of the spread and SEC teams have won national titles running it.

I always laugh when people try to point to the coach of an AAC team's (or other G5 conference team) losses to other AAC teams as evidence of that coach's shittiness. If he were coaching Alabama and lost to four G5 teams it would be alarming, but he wasn't.

But he was a double digit favorite in the games he lost? I guess it depends what your agenda is in the debate.

I agree somewhat with OP. Herman's style of coaching is pretty over the top, hard core drive drive drive, push push push from day one in practice. I think the inconsistency his teams showed was a direct result of pushing young men too hard physically in practice. I understand the physical aspect of football, but you don't want your guys injured and worn out when it counts most.

Losing to teams you should never lose to is symptomatic of not getting your team properly prepared on game day. Say what you want about Les Miles, but we almost always played well when we game day came.

I think we lucked out with our three coaches. Canada is the best offensive mind we have had at LSU in our lifetimes. Coach Aranda is awesome on D. Coach O has shown he is wise enough to let his coordinators coach. We are set up for a few really really good years, who knows what would have happened if Herman had come. Maybe not a nuclear disaster, but not as good as what we have now for sure.

Maybe he should have went 0-9 in the SEC to be a good fit at LSU.

Please list all these coache's head coaching records as well as Herman's and O's. Let's see how they stack up.

How are you penalizing him for a loss when he wasn't even the head coach? Wow.

The problem that you have to justify this in your head is the problem.

Orgeron's track record somehow makes him better?

This is the comment to which O supporters don't have a rebuttal.

We're the last fan base that should be criticizing another team's hire.

Herman will have Texas competing for a conference championship before LSU is.

Not a very bold prediction knowing Bama is in the SEC West. But I'll make my own prediction: LSU beats Bama before a Herman- led UT beats Bama.
