Gus is smart enough to sever most (if not all) ties with the Chiz dumpster fire.

Good move for Auburn.

Keeping coaches from a 0-8 staff is not how you change the culture.

Potentially losing a few good recruits (who could easily be busts) isn't worth it- got to think long-term.

Thanks. Not sure what post you are talking about, though.

If the NCAA's hit him with charges, he may well get the "show cause" sanction & be out of work for a while.

unfortunately for div 1 coaches, you arent allowed much of a "long term" if you dont win pretty soon out the gate.

Rueben Foster was quoted in the Huntsville Times this morning as saying he would go wherever TT went. He may be a great prospect but if he holds Taylor above Auburn then I say yall are better off without him.

Gus made the right move here.

I called this shite

Also from that thread:

He'll find a job easily. He's a top recruiter.
He left 2 places (Tulane and AU) in the midst of an investigation into HIS recruiting practices.

He is tarnished goods. His recruiting may be nice, but so is stolen bank money. The question is, "is his recruiting nice because he violates serious NCAA rules?"

Yep. It's not like Trooper was even gonna coach him once he got to AU. He didn't lose his position coach. He lost a "friend". Best of luck to the kid wherever he ends up.
