LSU is a top 5 job. I don't know how anyone can deny that! Passionate fan base. Great facilities, SEC and money to boot!

Said Harvard, Yale, and Princeton in the early 20th century. Good thing programs like Miami and FSU knew that was bullshite decades later.
Notre Dame is a fundamentally difficult place to dominate modern CFB from. What spitting Lou Holtz did was the last gasp of what was once the greatest college football program in the nation. The ND's and Nebraska type progams of today are in an enormously different situation than existed 40 years ago.
Tradition is a great thing to rationalize about or refer to when the other elements of success are in place. It just doesn't move the success meter unless you have a great coach and great institutional support. Even then, you are at a recruiting disadvantage if you are a ND or Nebraska instead of a FSU or Miami.

Les Miles lasted almost 12 yrs at LSU...those other teams go thru coaches like a cheap suit

Why would I go to Notre Dame?
Notre Dame gave Weis a 10 year contract worth almost $50M...and that was in 2005.
No way in a million years does LSU out bid Notre Dame for a coach if Notre Dame really, really wants him.

They want a HC to come in to the staff they have in place. Top guys like their ACs

LSU has that name brand. Every time these kids turn on an NFL game, they see LSU players balling. I will thank Miles for leaving this great advertisement that is the NFL career. LSU is going to send around 8 players to the NFL draft with at least 3 first rounders.
LSU players making fricking plays!
LBs
Minter, Kwon, Debo
DBs
Peterson, Mathieu
WRs
Beckham, Landry
RBs
Hill, Ware
OL
Turner, Collins
DL
Brockers, Hunter, Williams
They see that shite all the time. Where are all those other schools guys making anywhere close to the plays our guys our making? Sure they may have 1-3 dominant guys, but they ain't doing it like LSU. This is the social media age, not old timey tradition bullshite. They want to make that NFL money and be great.
Add that to the fact that LSU has the money, facilities, fanbase, etc that these other teams have along with their very own unique recruiting situation. LSU also pays top dollar for assistants too. Check the salaries of every LSU position coach and coordinators (meaning Cam before he was fired as well) and compare it to bluebloods and whoever else. Plus you forget the SEC is a big pull for recruits and coaches alike. So those bluebloods outside of the SEC are alright fighting against that.
If Texas and USC were like people said, why have they ended up with the coaches they ended up with? Why did Florida end up with Muschamp and McElwain? Michigan has only gone after Michigan men. Notre Dame won't be able to out work LSU for a HC prospect.
Everybody is basing all their shite on what teams did way back in the past, F*ck outta here with that.
You see it on the media and with other team's coaches all the time, if only LSU could get the QB situation right, if only LSU could have a passing game, etc, etc, etc. They see that LSU is right f**king there to being a dominant program. We are so close we just need the right guy. I thank Miles for the talent he brought here and sent to the NFL, I thank all those NFL players repping LSU and balling out at the same time, I thank Louisiana for birthing so much great talent that we have multiple WRs on Nebraska, Bama, TCU, TAMU, Arkansas, UGA, etc, and LSU is still f*king loaded at that position. The same can be said for Louisiana DBs.
Don't care what anybody says, I'll put the LSU coaching job up there with any other school.

Jim Harbaugh and his $9,000,000 is laughing his arse off at you. That's not "shite way back in the past".
Newsflash: You're not hiring "these kids". You're hiring a fricking man that wants to get paid. No one is saying that LSU isn't a terrific job, but you're fricking high if you think it's as good of a job as one that's paying a guy $9,000,000. You're fricking high if you think Notre Dame...the guys that paid Lardass a ten year, $50M deal...IN 200frickING5...wouldn't outspend LSU in a heartbeat if they really wanted the guy.

Texas and USC are the only 2 on that list that are better jobs than LSU. And USC is currently debatable given the current problems above the HC.
Notre Dame would only be a better job to someone that graduated from Notre Dame, but on no universe is Notre Dame considered a better job than LSU in coaching circles.
