he also coached at Boston College went 21-13-1 in the early 90's.
led an upset of #1 Notre Dame in 1993. I mean there only a few coaches who have truly elite records and then after that it sort of a toss up.
he isn't a bad coach.
some how got Jacksonville to the AFC Championship that one year against New England. You can point to the expansion draft as a reason or just him some credit.
yeah, he had a lot of mediocre records but that is going to happen when you coach as long as he has.
find me another head coach right now besides Belichick who has coached that long in the NFL and college combined.

If you watch the entire presser, Coughlin said some nice things about Mara. I think just cause they didn't shake hands or hug, people get a feel that it was frosty. Hard to see that if you watch the entire presser.
