Steele needs to go as well. This defense has been awful.

No respectable coach is coming here if they know les and the entire staff is on a short leash.

Nah, all it would take is 2-year deals (guaranteed) with healthy salaries.

Coaches would look at the talent and be interested. They'd look at the salary and be interested. They'd look at past results (bad) and realize they won't get blamed if things go sideways... and be interested.

They'd look at the potential to turn around the LSU offense and how much that would help their careers... and they'd be interested.

LSU would need to give the assistants 2-year deals, though, IMO.

His contract is through 2019. That is highly likely when he retires from coaching - why would that have to be extended?

Offensive staff clean out and Les has another year. Now this boards gonna melt

And if this were happening, Alleva could have said Miles is coming back and all the media speculation was based on nothing but internet rumor.
He MAY be waiting to see the result tonight but I still think les is gone.
No way in hell miles is given the chance for a staff reset in year 11 if lsu gets thumped tonight.

No doubt they were weighing their options, that's why nothing was said regarding his future. Now that supposed plan seems to have fallen through

I just dont think u comprehend that just bc plan A falls through doesnt mean plan B is miles. Think for a second about what u r saying. Think of how detrimental miles returning would be to the program after all of this. I really dont think u get this. Miles cant and wont be plan B. If jimbo is out, then its going to be someone else.

I think the whole staff needs to be cleaned out minus Frank, Raymond, and O. The easiest way to do that is to get rid of Miles. Defense is a joke, special teams is a really funny joke, and the offense is being choked to death by Miles.

So, if we clean out the offensive staff, Miles is still going to have his hand in the cookie jar, and we'll still have Steele, so wtf.

This is the moment Alleva's been waiting for. Even if we can't get Jimbo, we have to end Miles' tenure.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

If Jimbo is out of the picture, and SI is reporting that he is, Miles' odds of staying increase. It goes from ~10% to around 25%.

That would be a bigger shite show than if we fire Les and you had to do a coaching search! What OC could Les attract the U-High OC?
