Since 2011, Miles is 35-14.

He's 110-32 for his career at LSU.

In other words, almost half of his losses have come in the past 4 years.

"This always happens in America," Klinsmann said in the interview, which was released on Wednesday. "Kobe Bryant, for example -- why does he get a two-year contract extension for $50 million? Because of what he is going to do in the next two years for the Lakers? Of course not. Of course not. He gets it because of what he has done before. It makes no sense. Why do you pay for what has already happened?"

The real question you should ask yourself is why is Sumlin getting paid that much money whenever yall have sucked worse than LSU over that same period. We think Miles isn't earning his money and he's making 1 million less than Sumlin.

Why has MSU played so many more games?

Almost half of his losses came in almost have of his tenure?

Miles will be gone and I will be happy, but that's a dumb statement.

How would you rank those programs talent wise?

1. Bama, obviously
2. LSU, IMO
3-5. A&M, OM, AU

I don't think our benchmark should be the average record in the SECW.

4 years is about 1/3 of 11 years. So in the last 4 years he has almost as many losses as the first 7.

Seeing as half those guys have only been at their respective schools for 3 years, why not do the last 3?

Also, all those programs were down when those guys took over, so it would make sense that their coaches have worse conference records than Les who has the same record the last 3 years as Malzhan, yet Malzhan is getting heat despite being in the NC game just 2 years ago.

Convenient you go back that far to show your own point, but if you do last 3 hes 13-10.

Half of 11 is 5.5, I would say 4 is almost 5.5.

And now Klinsmann's on the skids, too.

So now we see the problem!!! Saban gets an extra 2 SEC games a year to pad those stats! (Mullen too, but that doesn't help the joke).

I know math is hard for the ags, but I bet your phone has a calculator on it.

While Miles’ overall record at LSU is certainly impressive, it’s worth noting LSU is 4-7 against SEC West opponents over the past two years, with five losses by at least 14 points.

not that great.

the difference between these teams and LSU is that they expect to be middle of the pack with one good year. LSU is expected to be in contention for the west title every year. We haven't been since 2011.

Semantics, the point is is that the trend is going the wrong direction.

Don't you think every other school wants the same just as badly? The expectation is what is unreasonable - not the coach. What in LSU's 100+ year history makes you think LSU is entitled to those results? It's so funny it's painful.

Stop, dude. 1.5 years is something like 18 games. That is a lot of games and you are not making sense.

What's painful is watching this team struggle to get a play off on time or even get the players to run the same play on offense. Its been painful since about 2008, and even in 2011, our best year by far, we struggled mightily on offense the back half of the season. Any coach, and I mean ANY coach, can replicate what miles has done with just great recruiting and a great defensive coordinator because his offense has been one of the worst in college football over the last 8 years.

I'm sure schools like Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, USC, etc. felt the same way before they fell into obscurity for years.
