The problem with LSU fans is......

If a little fight scared them then they should've went home. It takes a special breed to be from Louisiana.

And you can tell this is 100% true because you're posting about it for the first time 2 months after the fact. Besides, it would've been hard to find time to argue about offense that night when Fournette was breaking off a 70 plus yard TD on every other play.

Been to only a handful of SEC stadiums, but by far and away Ole Miss was the worst. So if any OM fans had a bad experience in Tiger Stadium, who gives a rats arse.....hate when people like you think LSU fans are the only ones that show their arse every now and then.... virtually every fan base of teams that actually win more than they lose has "fanatics " like that...

Why is that though?

Honestly, my opinion on whats wrong with LSU fans is this:

I lived, like many, through the 90's, where LSU football was abysmal, and I stayed in that stadium through the end of the bad games, and the seldom good ones. We fans back then had this desire to see LSU win the big games, and even the average games, because, we were desperate.

Then, here comes Saban. He calls us names. He calls us out. He says we shouldn't rush the fields. He loses to UAB. He's told to get the F out. We hate him. We hate his interviews. We hate how brash he is. And then we win a NC in 2003, and shortly after he disappears.

We hire Miles. I didn't know who he was, but he was winning, and even though we lost 2 games, we were still in position to win a NC with him, almost making most not even care that Saban was at Alabama, because by gosh, we are now LSU, and we have won 2 crystals, the first team to do that, and F Saban because he sucked in the NFL and he left us on Christmas.

Now, the reality is, the thing many were afraid of, the beast that is BAMA tradition and football, was paired up and the Evil one has risen and has taken BAMA to levels we desired, levels we wanted, levels we thought Saban would take us to, but he left, so levels we HOPED Miles would take us to...all the while, seeing the program slowly slip backwards. I was still on the Mile train until 2011/12 NC game. I started to realize we were moving down, and they were moving up. I believe the rematch skewed the direction of the 2 programs, and we have never recovered since. And even though we haven't done a ton lately in football, we still haven't experienced a losing season, or anything really horrible, EVEN BAMA SUCKED prior to Saban. We haven't had to hit rock bottom, to rally the fans again to have that deep DESIRE and PASSION to be loud at every game.

So now, LSU fans can only hope every recruit for BAMA is a BUST, and everyone for us is a hidden gem. We talk shite in HOPES of it coming to fruition, and they talk shite KNOWING they are going to beat us, and be better.

Something has to change. The attitude of the fan base, the athletic department, the team, we have to beat BAMA, but we have to stop making BAMA the focal point of everything good and bad about the program. They are in most of our heads, as can be seen on this board.

Anyway, I love you all. I hope you all have a great Christmas, and I hope 2017 brings some rejuvenated enthusiasm to the LSU program.

Way too long, TL;DR I know. down-votes coming. Just my opinion on the status of LSU fans today.
