On #Saints DC Rob Ryan: Wouldn’t be surprised if he stays and Sean Payton builds around his scheme & talents. Change isn’t always better

#Saints also fire asst. DBs coach Andre Curtis, source says. Big question is Rob Ryan. Payton could decide to give him more suitable parts

The #Saints are parting ways with WR coach Henry Ellard and TE Terry Malone, source says. Offseason changes begin now, there will be others

Let Rob assemble a squad. If he can't get it done with healthy players and his guys, then fire his arse.

That seems to be the strategy, although I hope they fire the right guys (ex. Bill Johnson-D line) and not just make scapegoats out of some lowly assistants.

They won't fire the right guys. They'll fire the coaches at the positions where they've drafted busts. Much of the problem falls squarely on Payton and his shite drafting.

I want Rob Ryan gone, but in all seriousness we did have a lot of injuries this year.

I think it's fair to give rob another year with the addition of his guys.

If he fricks up next year he gone.

Loomis is arguably the best capologist in the NFL, yet he has to rely on the shitty scouting evals from Rick Reiprish (Director of College Scouting) and his staff. I'm all for firing guys low on the totem pole, particularly if they're in the Saints' scouting department.

Out of 15 players picked (in 2009, 2012, & 2014), only 3 players are under contract that made meaningful contributions to the football team THIS year. You just can't keep failing every other year in the draft and not see the effects on the field.
