The fix was in; Shoop was never coming

Shoop contacts LSU. In a very public way an "interview" is announced through the media citing "mutual interest". Interest initiated by Shoop not Les. James Franklin throws a hissy fit - probably staged. Les probably knows something is up but has to go along with it. Almost immediately after said interview it is announced that Shoop is staying put for "substantial" money. Money he knew he was getting before the interview. The interview was never in good faith and likely over before it started.
What can we deduce?

LSU d coordinator search is looking like the drunk dude at last call trying to find a hot chick to take home. But alas only the fat ugly chicks remain for the hook up, then the lights come on at the bar.

I don't have any problem with Shoop staying put and getting more money (if that is what will happen). Nor do I have a problem with Franklin wanting to keep him.
I think LSU is a better place than Penn State and I think he should come here. But I don't harbor any hard feeling towards him if he doesn't.

Miles deserves to get jerked around like this by other coaches. How many times has he flirted with other schools just to get a raise out of LSU? 3?

...yeah, upon review , probably this ...Kinda like Miles to Arkansas and Michigan ... just a leverage move by Shoop AND Franklin ( to get his pal a lot more bucks$ ). Yep , thats what it looks like.
