Could be getting ready for an announcement tomorrow or just be preparing for whenever a coach is named.

Didn't Hubbs report that formal interviews started in FL on Tuesday? This would be a quick hire. Do you think that they just had to go through the formalities and wait till the regular season was over and already had a guy. What do you guys think about that?

I don't think they've conducted a formal interview to date. Hart never went to Florida and is said to be in NYC starting next week. The only candidates that make sense are coaches coaching this weekend.

D. Shaw
Jim Mora Jr.
Charlie Strong
Jimbo Fisher
Kirby Smart
Mike Gundy
Dana Holgorson
Kirby Smart

not saying these are all candidates but they would all need to wait until Sunday to formally interview for the job (sans Smart).

i'd rather have anyone on the list i just posted besides smart and holgo honestly. I could be talked into him i'm just not really looking to run the 4-2-5 in the SEC. Honestly, i'm fine with most hires we make as long as they surround themselves with solid assistants that can recruit to UT

I don't think he leaves, fwiw. He is happy in Chapel Hill and has said the he wants to be somewhere long term for his family.
