Guy is from San Antonio and frequently talks with Greg. Most boosters want Strong out right after the game win or lose. The board are willing to give Strong 1 more year with his young team. Pretty simple he said. Win and Strong stays. Presser right after game. Lose and Strong is out. Probably before he leaves stadium.

Take it for what it's worth but he told me the Saban stuff was BS when people were saying they offered 10mil a year.

Also said nobody from UT has met with Herman

This is probably correct. No one from UT in an official capacity. Boosters have reached out to him in person and through his agent according to a connected booster I know at UH. UT has some of the most meddling boosters in college football. This is why their coaching searches are a shite show.

tbh it doesn't seem like the people actually making the hiring decisions have him as their first choice. I think the boosters want him, badly, but the AD/president/chancellor or whatever the frick he is would like to try to pry a big name coach away first.

So after he beats TCU he rides out on his players shoulders then gets canned after the fourth game next year?
Sounds good to me.

How good is TCU? I think they school Strong.

TCU has crushed Texas both times that Strong played them.

From what I've been told, win or lose, Strong is gone. This entire thing has turned into a huge clusterfrick and Texas boosters realize that it's now or never.

How does that work? A booster contacts Herman. Meddling all up in their coaching search and somehow convinces Herman that they won't be a pain in the arse while he coaches the team.

We need to wrap up Herman before the Texas game is even over.

This TCU team isn't nearly as good as what they've been in the recent past. Texas' running game and ball control approach should benefit from the wet field today.
